Web Development Foundations - 120 req. hrs
The purpose of this introductory course is to establish comfort and familiarity working in a code editor, writing and validating instructions in a markup language, and manipulating screen objects by changing properties and tags. Students will build a strong software development foundation and learn how to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various libraries to create fully functional web apps.
This course guides students toward developing a well-rounded foundation of skills necessary for modern web development. These skills include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript coding; utilizing Git workflow processes; project organization; designing with wireframing; and employing introductory Agile development methods.
Intermediate Web Development - 120 req. hrs
The purpose of this course is to extend the basic principles of web development into more dynamic web apps and interactive websites. Becoming a well-rounded developer is much more than learning language syntax.
In this intensive course, you will study the common core of software development, including MVC architecture, object-oriented and functional programming, and computer science fundamentals such as basic data structures and algorithms. Come learn how to create and launch web apps in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the help of third-party APIs and libraries from around the web.
